THRIVE Camp: An energy boost for creative founders

It is not uncommon for many startups to go through troughs of sorrow or periods where they carry doubts about the work they do, their effectivity, timeliness or worthwhileness.

Having been surrounded by entrepreneur friends, and hearing about their struggles (from the ones who are candid enough to share), and while also struggling with a feeling of burnout of my own, it seemed to make sense to create an experience or community where such individuals could openly share their challenges, fears and inhibitions, and connect with people who can help re-energize one another.

I’ve battled with this feeling every now and then and felt like there should be something I can help create for this community of starry-eyed entrepreneurs who might just need that extra push to do what they do even better. Luckily, I’ve also been in constant contact with The Spark Project‘s Patch Dulay, a similar-minded entrepreneur, passionate about serving a new breed of creative entrepreneurs as well.

So, my friend Patch and I have been brewing the THRIVE Camp, and we’re coming out with it to see if this is indeed our combined communities would be interested in.

What’s THRIVE Camp all about?

THRIVE Camp seeks to energize creative, cause-driven self-starters, make them reflect on how they pursue meaningful work by helping them work through some of the biggest challenges most often left ignored. The camp seeks to provide greater clarity, congruence, compassion, connection and courage for them to continue to addressing the issue that matters most to them.

Who is it for?

The ideal participant for this weekend is a founder who:

  1. Has been working on their startup or organization for at least 6 months

  2. Is ready to explore possibilities within a community of like-minded individuals, passionate about creating more socially and/or environmentally relevant ventures

  3. Is committed to creating an open and authentic space where everyone is free to share and learn from each other

Learn more about the camp here.

Now, we are trying to get a shortlist of interested participants by April 30, 2016. Please do sign up via Ticketbase if you’re interested so we can keep you in the loop with event updates, particularly in the coming weeks as we reveal more details about the camp.
