MUNI Meetup MNL: Sustainable Dining on May 12, 2018

How can we dine sustainably with how we source, prepare, and store/dispose our food? What are the environmental impacts of our food and dining choices, and how can we minimize them?

Join us on May 12, 2-6PM at Clock In BGC, as we bring you a MUNI Meetup on Sustainable Dining, together with Slow Food Manila, to discuss the different ways we can consume food more mindfully, and showcase companies and organizations that can help us on the journey to shifting to a diet that is ultimately better for our own health and that of the environment.

Our featured panelists include:

  1. Panel Moderator Enzo Pinga (@farmerenzo) of Earthbeat Farms (@earthbeatfarms), an organic farm based in San Pablo, Laguna that grows fresh, organic veggies, in unique and heirloom varieties too

  2. Paula Aberasturi of Slow Food Manila (@slowfoodph), the local convivium of Slow Food International, a global, grassroots organization, that aims to prevent the disappearance of local food cultures and traditions, counteract the rise of fast life and combat people’s dwindling interest in the food they eat; she is also the co-founder of Down To Earth Farms

  3. Charlene Tan of Good Food Community (@goodfoodcommunity), a community-shared agriculture business wherein subscribers can get a weekly dose of organic veggies supporting farmers in Capas, Tarlac

  4. Mabi David (@mabidavid) of Me & My Veg Mouth (@meandmyvegmouth), a plant-based kitchen created to connect food with issues such as climate change, food security, and empowerment

  5. Rina Papio of Earthventure, Inc., which promotes the use of EM (Effective Microorganisms) Technology with compost waste, and create mudballs to rehabilitate dirty rivers and waterways * The meetup will also be run by Denise Subido of MUNI (@muni_ph).

We’ll also be featuring a package-free pop-up with a handful of healthy, natural, and eco-friendly food products / produce and zero waste dining essentials including products from Earthbeat Farms, Good Food Community, Me & My Veg Mouth, SIP, and more TBA!
