MUNI Meetup MNL on A Plastic Ocean on May 26, 2018

#MUNIonThis: What are the impacts of plastic waste in our ocean? What initiatives are happening locally to curb plastic waste? What can each individual do to live with less waste and engage their local community as well?

Join us for a MUNI Meetup on A Plastic Ocean on May 26 at Acceler8 Coworking, in celebration of month of the Ocean, to raise awareness on the impact of plastic pollution, in partnership with Save Philippine Seas!

This meetup will feature a screening of the 22-minute version of A Plastic Ocean (by Plastic Oceans), followed a panel then guided group discussion with attendees. Our speakers and panelists include:

  1. Anthony Baliuag, co-founder, Waste Watch Philippines and SEA Camper, Save Philippine Seas

  2. Pam Luber, Communications Volunteer and SEA Camper, Save Philippine Seas

  3. Sonny Batungbacal, Regional Oceans Research Coordinator, Greenpeace Philippines

  4. Judith Claridades, Creating Shared Value (CSV) Director, Green Antz Builders, makers of eco bricks that are actual bricks made with recycled, shredded plastic

  5. Poch Espina, CEO of Sip PH, a company that reduces single-use plastic waste through the sales of reusable straws, bamboo cutlery, etc.

We’ll also be featuring a package-free pop-up with products that can help you live a more zero waste, single-use-plastic-free life!
