After a wait of one and a half years, we’re bringing the #MuniMarket back to Manila!
More than an avenue for selling healthy, local and eco-friendly products, we see the MUNI Market as a community event to exchange ideas and support worthwhile endeavors for a healthier, more inclusive, more sustainable world, complete with learning events like MUNI Meetups, hands-on workshops, merchant interviews, and smile-inducing music performances.
Ever since the first MUNI Market in 2014, it was always the goal to create an enriching experience to learn and connect with a diverse, multi-disciplinary community, united by a collective goal to creatively and pro-actively work towards creating more meaningful impact in our communities and the planet.
For MUNI Market 2017, we’ve worked especially hard to round up a esteemed lineup of speakers and panelists, representing various sectors, industries, and generations, for a series of MUNI Meetups and workshops to spark conversation and action on the following topics:
Reimagining Local Fashion (April 8, 11AM-12:30PM)
Communicating Your Cause (April 8, 1:30-3PM)
Beating Manila Traffic (April 8, 4-5:30PM)
Feeding the Food Revolution (April 9, 1-2:30PM)
Responsible Travel (April 9, 3:30-5PM)
Zero Waste Living (April 9, 6-7:30PM)
These MUNI Meetups will be held at the 2nd floor of the Estancia Mall, directly across the Capitol Commons Park where merchants of the MUNI Market 2017 will be showcasing their products.

We also look forward to reuniting with old friends, our regular merchants and community members, as well as making new ones.
Our list of loyal merchants you can expect at the upcoming market include Nipa Brew, Jertie’s Kitchen, The Superfood Grocer, Theo & Philo, V Kitchen, Kayumanggi Organic, Stanford Shaw, JOOST, Fresh Start Organic, and Satya Graha Cafe (makers of Seacharon & Chichashroom) for food; The Green House Project, Urban Abode, and Tinkerknot Handmade Design & Supply for home decor and furnishings; Gouache, RuMe, and Risque Designs for shoes and bags; V&M Naturals, Wonder Paws, and Sparrow Fragrance for personal care; Waters Philippines.
At the same time, we’re also excited to have other companies joining our community of mindful merchants: WVN Home Textiles, PIOPIO, Gifts & Graces, Manila Collectible, Wooden Mallet, A Beautiful Refuge, Ritual, Go Zero, Kalakat, Messy Bessy, Cusina, Steep Coffee Bags, Natural Health, and Raw Ritual.
The E-waste project will also be present to set up a booth where you can bring your broken gadgets, or CDs, DVDs, batteries, and other e-waste for proper disposal.

And last but not least, our MUNI Market wouldn’t be complete live music from a lineup of indie musicians including: We Are Imaginary, A Problem Like Maria, Humanfolk, Zsaris Mendioro, Six The Northstar, Coco Nery, Veronica & I, Mellow Submarine and Paola Mauricio.
We continue to put up the MUNI Market in an effort to showcase cause-driven endeavors, while encouraging other young creatives to pursue mindful initiatives as well. The coming MUNI Market 2017 will mark the 6th one since the first MUNI Market in June 2014.
We’ll be coming out with more details about our participating merchants, program, performers, speakers and more in the coming weeks, so block off the weekend of April 8-9 already and spread the word!
