Ever since the first MUNI Market in 2014, and even when the idea for the event first came to mind in 2012, it was always the goal to be an enriching experience to learn and network with a diverse, multi-disciplinary community, united by a collective goal to creatively and pro-actively work towards building a healthier, more inclusive, more sustainable world.
For MUNI Market 2017, we’ve worked especially hard to round up a esteemed lineup of speakers and panelists, representing various sectors, industries, and generations, for a series of MUNI Meetups and workshops to spark conversation and action on the following topics:
Reimagining Local Fashion (April 8, 11:00AM-12:30PM)
Communicating Your Cause (April 8, 1:30-3:00PM)
Beating Manila Traffic (April 8, 4:00-5:30PM)
Feeding the Food Revolution (April 9, 1:00-2:30PM)
Responsible Travel (April 9, 3:30-5:00PM)
Zero Waste Living (April 9, 6:00-7:30PM)
Each of these MUNI Meetups will be condensed 1.5-hour versions of our usual 3-hour long meetups. And each of 3-4 speakers will be given 10-15 minutes to speak about their topic based on their first-hand experience. This is then followed by a 30-minute open forum to engage members of the audience as well, which we feel is the favorite part of many of our attendees and speakers alike.
These MUNI Meetups will be held at the 2nd floor of the Estancia Mall, directly across the Capitol Commons Park where merchants of the MUNI Market 2017 will be showcasing their products.
With these meetups, we also aim to shed light on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with a special focus on goal #12, Responsible Consumption & Production, to generate awareness on the bigger impact of conscious consumerism, along with the other ways we can make a difference with related goals such as: #2 Zero Hunger, #8 Decent Work & Economic Growth, #11 Sustainable Cities & Communities, #13 Climate Action, #14 Life Below Water, and #15 Life on Land.
Prepaid tickets to MUNI Meetups are at P250, inclusive a P50 voucher that you can use with participating merchants at the MUNI Market, and a raffle entry to win goodies from our partner brands.
Payment at the door will be P350/ticket also inclusive of the above perks, or P1000 for 4 tickets (which can either be group purchases to one meetup, or an individual pass to 4 different meetups).
Limited slots are available, so secure your slot by simply filling out the Google form here, deposit your payment to the account stated on the form, and send us proof of payment at events.muni@gmail.com by April 7, 2017.
