Join Muni's Film Canister Drive!

Muni on this:

How can you help the environment in the simplest, no-cost, no-fuss way?

Here at Muni, we are all about the ease of adopting mindfulness in our daily lives. We know that our readers want to help out, and so we use this website as a platform to spread new, creative ways to help the environment. That said, what could be easier than a small, cheap, funky film canister to reduce cigarette butt waste on our streets?

By decorating and bringing these tiny vestibules with you everywhere you go, you now have instant temporary storage for used cigarette filters in times when trash bins are not immediately accessible.

What’s more, this month, the same artists who brought you our #CutTheCrap posters have been working on a new project: #CutTheCrap film canisters! And on June 15, you’ll get a film canister of your very own if you come to our #CutTheCrap gig at Route 196!

Check out this video to learn more about the event from the artists and musicians themselves!

Why film canisters? Most of us have film canisters always lying around the house, just waiting to be upcycled. No money is needed to purchase them, no added fuel / energy is needed to use them, and they’re also small enough to easily fit in your bag / pocket!

We need your help! To be able to distribute funkified film canisters on June 15, we will need as many of them as we can get. So we invite you, your friends, and your family to make your donations at these locations and times:

PASIG | HOURS: Tues-Wed, 9am-9pm co.lab Xchange 3/F 3 Brixton Street Barangay Kapitolyo (near Pioneer Center)

MAKATI | HOURS: Daily, Mall hours SoFA Retail Lab 2/F Archeology Section Power Plant Mall, Rockwell

And remember, our donation period has been extended to June 7, 2013!

What next?

To show our appreciation for all the support and environmental awareness we’ve seen, we’re giving you a night of Pinoy music, art and fun! After an eye-gasmic exhibit of #CutTheCrap posters, we’ll be distributing the film canisters at our #CutTheCrap gig on June 15 at Route 196. Then, we top off the night with music from Pedicab, Ciudad, Your Imaginary Friends, Slow Hello, No Rome and RomCom!

Tickets are at P200 via Artiste Connect or Muni’s online shop, or at P250 at the gate, inclusive of a beer, a #CutTheCrap canister, 10% discount from Muni’s online shop, subscription to Muni’s newsletter, and a Thank You e-card. 🙂

So start collecting, spread the word, and we will see you there!
